We work closely with communities by creating of substantial infrastructures and developing (self) employment opportunities․ We believe in big ideas, long-term results, and innovative solutions. The project has been successfully implemented in 55 communities across 9 regions of Armenia.
Installation of LED street-lighting in vulnerable communities is an initiative aimed to foster a sense of safety and security, promote environmental sustainability and contribute to the overall quality of life for residents. Through the use of energy-efficient LED lights, the energy consumption and carbon footprint is reduced in the communities. This benefits the environment and brings long-term economic advantages to communities by lowering energy costs and freeing up resources for other community needs.
The initiative is aimed at providing communities, which have been partially or completely deprived of water, with reliable access to 24-hour water supply. It focuses on installing or enhancing essential infrastructure to meet the water needs of these communities. The various activities include construction of water storage facilities, installation of pipelines, implementation of water treatment processes, enhancement of distribution networks and more.
Through the installation of innovative technologies (solar-driven water pumps, solar-driven electric fences, solar-thermal heating), the project aims to address the energy needs of vulnerable communities in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner. One significant aspect of the project focuses on setting up solar thermal heating facilities for community buildings such as kindergartens and houses of culture.
Recognizing the importance of agriculture as a key economic activity, the FPWC provides modern and efficient agricultural equipment to rural communities. It enables farmers to optimize their cultivation practices, reduce manual labor, and improve efficiency in various aspects of agricultural production, while contributing to food security and economic growth within the communities.
The Eco-Villages Development Project is a visionary endeavor dedicated to fostering sustainable development and conservation in rural areas of Armenia, with a focus on vulnerable communities, where residents embrace eco-conscious practices and coexist in harmony with the natural world.
These eco-villages concept serves as a cornerstone to sustainable living, showcasing a multitude of advantages for local communities, including renewable energy integration, sustainable farming practices, water conservation systems, waste management solutions, and the safeguarding of biodiversity.
