As part of FPWC’s ongoing efforts, the Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) hosted Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspectorate.
During the visit, Mr. Martirosyan was introduced in detail to the care, rehabilitation, and housing conditions of wild animals rescued from illegal captivity.
A key focus of the meeting was the need for a systematic solution to the issue of illegally kept wild animals in Armenia, particularly in the lead-up to COP17. The importance of close cooperation between the Inspectorate and FPWC was emphasized as essential for addressing these challenges effectively.
Other pressing issues were also discussed, resulting in a mutual agreement to expand joint efforts and strengthen collaboration across several areas.
