Within the framework of the 10th Arevordi International Environmental Film Festival, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) announces a competition for the best individual journalistic work and the media outlet most actively covering the issue of wild animals kept in captivity in Armenia.
The aim of the competition is to stimulate more active media coverage of the issue of wild animals kept in captivity in various private areas across Armenia and to ensure the broadest possible dissemination of information, thereby contributing to greater public awareness.
The competition will include works published no earlier than October 2019 and up to the deadline for submission of applications. Applications will be reviewed by a professional jury, and monetary prizes will be awarded.
The competition will be held in two categories:
The author of the selected best individual journalistic work will receive a prize of AMD 200,000, while the winning media outlet will receive AMD 300,000.
The individual journalistic work should stand out for its analytical understanding of the issue, an approach containing elements of investigative journalism, and a clearly visible personal approach of the journalist.
The media outlet most actively covering the issue of wild animals kept in captivity should include, in the online application form, links to materials published during the specified period, after which the professional jury will review them and select the winners in both categories.
