On October 28, a three-day environmental camp took place at the Urtsadzor Eco-Center with the participation of high school and college students from the Mkhitar Sebastatsi Educational Complex. The students had the opportunity to expand their environmental knowledge and develop skills for responsible interaction with nature.

The program of the camp was developed by the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC). The participants attended open environmental lessons conducted by the foundation’s director, Ruben Khachatryan, as well as other specialists from the center.

Afterward, at the Eco-Center’s nursery of wild tree species, the students learned about tree cultivation technologies and the concept of forest restoration. In addition to watching and discussing environmental films and attending various lectures, the students applied their knowledge in practice by taking part in a guided hike with a forest ranger through the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge, where they also explored the wild goat caves.

The environmental camp concluded at the Aregats School Center with the participation of the RA Minister of Environment, Romanos Petrosyan.

The autumn camp was organized with the support of the “Sebastatsi” Educational Complex and the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets. The foundation places great importance on such educational initiatives, which serve as a continuation of the “Arevordi” eco-club network.
