The trainings of ”Reduction of poverty in Urtsadzor community cluster by developing self-employment opportunities” project has started in June.

The project financed by the European Union delegation is implemented in Urtsadzor, Lusashogh and Lanjanist communities of Ararat region starting February, 2016.

Within the framework of the project in order to create new sources of income for more than 140 residents of Urtsadzor community cluster trainings and classes are held: eco and agro tourism, organic agriculture (apiculture, cultivation of herbs, teas, and essential oils) as a source of a stable income, English and computer classes. After the trainings the participants will be divided into groups according to the specialization courses they get, in order to develop business plans with the involvement of experts.

The best 15 business plans will be financed. The Organic agriculture foundation in Urtsadzor community, established within the framework of the project, will purchase the process of the product buying, packaging and sales functions.

The program will enable the communities’ residents to take out their own products to local and international markets will develop the intercommunity cooperation. At the end of the entire project 10-13% of unemployment reduction is estimated in the community cluster.
