The students of the National Agrarian University of Armenia, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Arevik Abovyan, were hosted at the Wildlife Rescue Centre. Accompanied by the Director of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets Ruben Khachatryan the students toured the center, got acquainted with its works and activities. Ruben Khachatryan delivered an introductory lecture, presenting the issues and problems related to the field. The future specialists were very impressed with the visit.
“We are happy for the continuous cooperation with the National Agrarian University of Armenia. I would like to inform you that the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets helps the university to open a wildlife veterinarian course there, as there is a great demand for such specialists nowadays. Such a course will provide an opportunity to specialize in the field”,- the Director of the FPWC Ruben Khachatryan noted.
According to Rector of the National Agrarian University of Armenia Vardan Urutyan, the cooperation of the Agrarian University with the Wildlife and Cultural Foundation is developing dynamically, continuously including the current development of the sphere, priorities and realities. “I appreciate this cooperation, especially in the sense that our students have unique opportunities to receive the best training experience in the departments managed by the foundation,”- Mr. Urutyan noted.
