On August 24, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets got an emergency call from Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia that a bear needs help in Vayots Dzor region.
A 2-year-old brown bear was entangled in a net near the village of Agarakadzor and needs help.
The FPWC team rushed to help to the animal. Our specialists put animal into the sleep by means of a special remote anesthesia device. To ensure the safety of the inhabitants of the area and the bear, the animal moved not far from the village and returned to the wild. The FPWC would like to thank all the partners for their support and remind – bears belong to the wild.
