Since October, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) has launched active training sessions of its Arevordi Eco-Clubs in the enlarged community of Yeghegis. The programme is being implemented in the settlements of Artabuynk, Karaglukh, and Shatin, engaging students from grades 6 to 10.
The primary goal of the initiative is to foster environmental awareness and encourage young people to actively participate in community-based sustainable development.
To date, 48 schoolchildren have:
Explored wildlife and studied local flora and fauna
Taken part in field visits to apply their knowledge in practice
Learned about waste recycling and renewable energy
Developed digital, communication, and leadership skills to support their communities
FPWC believes that these training sessions will help nurture a new generation of responsible stewards of nature, equipped to protect both their communities and Armenia’s natural heritage.
The programme is implemented with the support of the Government of the United Kingdom within the framework of the Darwin Initiative. FPWC extends its sincere gratitude to its partners for helping sow the seeds of a sustainable future for Armenia.
