RESTORE OUR EARTH TOGETHER

Published on 04/04/2023

Every year on the 22nd of April the whole world is celebrating Earth Day, which marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. On this day all the people around the world are united to remind us once more that we need a shift to a more sustainable lifestyle that works for both people and the planet. We all need to start living in harmony with nature and the Earth!

The Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) initiated a one-month-long campaign in response to Earth day, during which everyone can support FPWC’s tree planting initiative by sending SMS and donating to plant a tree.

The formula is simple – 1SMS = 1Tree = 500AMD. By sending an SMS to the 7733 number, you support FPWC to plant one tree in Armenia. Want to plant more? Send more messages!

The FPWC is implementing a community-based reforestation project introducing new technology for Armenia that allows the cultivation of the tree species that are hard or impossible to grow through the bare root method commonly used in Armenia. Along with the reforestation as an action toward climate change, forests and trees support food security and nutrition for wildlife, thus the actions taken will help to resolve the human-wildlife conflict, providing the wildlife a proper source for nutrition.

During last years over 350.000 trees were planted by FPWC.
