MES and FPWC signed a memorandum of cooperation

The RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, represented by Minister Armen Pambukhchyan, and the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC), represented by its founder Ruben Khachatryan, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The signing of the memorandum took place in the Caucasian Wildlife Refuge. With the memorandum, the parties plan to cooperate using their capabilities, means and experience.

RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan emphasized that with this memorandum of mutual assistance, the state and the non-governmental organization are joining forces in the fields of wildlife protection. He emphasized the importance of signing such a memorandum.

“Our work with the Ministry of Emergency Situations is very important, we cooperate in the fields of saving wild animals, as well as are quick to respond to wildlife fires. I express my gratitude to the minister for this opportunity. We have been cooperating very well for a long time, and I am sure that the continuation will be even more fruitful,” -the director of the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets Ruben Khachatryan noted. During the signing of the memorandum, Khachatryan added that the foundation will organize trainings for 10 MES employees annually with its resources.

The parties agreed to cooperate in emergency situations and to contribute to the urgent solution of existing problems, to combine forces throughout the territory of the Republic of Armenia, trying to catch, transport, isolate and/or return to nature problem animals as harmlessly as possible, to carry out joint efforts to extinguish fires in the event of wildlife and/or forest fires during the fire-risk months.

The memorandum was signed for a period of 5 years. The term of the memorandum will be extended for another 5 years unless it is terminated by agreement of the parties.
