Bears have their own unique role in the wild. Like every species in wildlife, they are important for the health of the ecosystem.

“Bears are among Armenia’s large predators, regulating the population of large and medium-sized mammals,” says Tsovinar Hovhannisyan, Environmental Programs Coordinator at the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC), in the “Ecosphere” studio. She adds that bears are an inseparable part of the diversity of flora and fauna.
