On March 20, 2019 within the framework of “EU4 tourism: community-driven rural tourism and cultural activities in Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor marzes” program an important meeting was held with the representatives of CBC & CSO of Vayots Dzor community cluster Areni & Zaritap (mainly Nor Aznaberd, Arpi, Kndzorut, Agarakadzor) in Vayk city.
The main aim of the meeting was to discuss the progress reached within 12 months of project implementation, the positive impact of the project on target communities, analyze the gaps and further needs required to reach the project aim. The participants discussed the directions for their villages to develop, the main actions to undertake and drafted strategies to reach the objective for their communities development.
At the end of the meeting the CBC members stated that the development of eco-tourism, agro-tourism and cultural tourism is among the main strategic goals of community development in line with environment protection & biodiversity conservation.
