The water supply network project in Chkalov village included the construction of 22 km-long pipeline.

The absence of potable water supply network has always been one of the most vital issues of Chkalov community. The villagers used to take water from the only spring situated in the center of the village, which had already become scarce. For years, the project of constructing a water supply network could not be implemented because of the scarcity of community budget.

Propelling the personal volunteering initiatives, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian has donated AMD 13,400,000 from the personal funds for the solution of this vital issue. VivaCell-MTS and the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) have allocated around AMD 11,000,000, and around AMD 13,700,000 have been provided by the Noyark foundation. The Chkalov community, particularly the younger generation, has actively participated in the construction works. 74 households will benefit from the implemented project.
